The warmth of the Sun in your home.
Fűtőfólia (futofolia.hu) has designed and installed infrared heating film since 2012; today we sell SwissWarm 4th-generation, self-regulating heating film, which in Europe is available only from us. Our mission: "To modernise society's heating habits, so that people can heat in a healthy and economical way." Installation is available in Hungary.
In brief
- Since 2012 we have worked with infrared heating film: more than 5,000 installations and 200,000 m² of installed heating film.
- A 15.5-year warranty on 4th-generation heating film when we do the installation.
- The heating film is 0.4 mm thick and goes under the floor covering, in the ceiling or in the wall; it radiates instead of blowing, and the warmth can be felt within 5–15 minutes, depending on the floor covering.
- It can be controlled room by room, with a thermostat or a smart-home system.
- Installation is available in Hungary; our showroom is in Budapest (Rákóczi u. 4, 1039 Budapest).

You come home, take off your shoes, and the floor is warm.
You are not buying heating. You are buying the feeling of walking barefoot around the home in January, the child playing on the floor, and the same quiet, even warmth in the whole room, with no radiator, no hum and no draught.
Warm floor in the morning, too: even the stone of the bathroom is not cold. Even warmth in the whole room, not only next to the heater.
The heating works, yet it is not good to be at home.
The air is warm, yet your feet are cold.
A radiator heats the air: the warm air rises under the ceiling, and the floor and your feet stay cool.
One half of the room is warm, the other cool.
It is hot next to the heater and draughty by the window. The whole room has to be overheated for the corner to be good too.
Service, chimney, maintenance, every year.
A boiler and a heat pump have moving parts, and what moves wears out: the engineer comes back year after year.
Stirred-up dust, dry air.
Heating that circulates the air stirs up dust too, which matters for allergy sufferers and families with small children.
Heating film gives the same answer to all of them: the warmth comes from the floor, there is no hum, no floating dust and no annual service cost.
It does not heat the air. It heats you.
A radiator warms the air, which rises to the ceiling and stays cold at your feet. Heating film radiates upwards from the whole floor surface: the warmth is where you are.
- 1
It goes under the floor covering
The film is 0.4 mm thick. Directly under laminate, vinyl or parquet, where the floor height hardly changes. Under tiles, 4–5 cm of concrete or a 1.5–2 cm Rigidur layer goes over the film.
- 2
It radiates from a surface, it does not blow
It does not heat the air but objects and the body, in the same long wavelength in which the human body radiates. That is why it feels warm even with cooler air.
- 3
Warmth you can feel in 5–15 minutes
Depending on the floor covering, and without the thermal inertia of a water-based system. It can be controlled with a thermostat or a smart-home system, divided into separate zones room by room.
In the floor, wall, ceiling: invisibly.
The heating film goes under the floor covering. No radiator, no outdoor unit, no fittings on the wall, and nothing that can break.
Underfloor heating
Under laminate, vinyl, parquet or tile. No screed, no water-based system: the floor height hardly changes.

Ceiling heating
Built into plasterboard, also retrospectively. Where the floor cannot be broken up, this is the fastest route to radiant heating.

Wall heating
For cold walls prone to condensation. The wall itself becomes the heating surface, and dries out.
Részletek →Not all heating film is the same. Four generations have passed since the first.
On the market today almost everyone sells 1st or 3rd-generation film, often under the name "intelligent", because we introduced that name and it was copied. The 4th generation, however, is not an adjective but a different construction: an increased carbon-paste surface and a full-width contact strip between the carbon paste and the copper strip. This is the film in the picture.
SwissWarm, 4th GENERATION PTC PREMIUM HEATING FILM. More details: 4th-generation heating film.
Since 2012 we have dealt with one thing: infrared heating.
The company was founded by Tamás Tóth, who is the president of the Hungarian National Electric Heating Association. We do not trade in everything: we developed the heating film further ourselves, we introduced the concept of "intelligent heating foil" to Hungary, and we also train the installers who build it in. Our training is recognised with MMK points by the Hungarian Chamber of Architects.
Fűtőfólia across Hungary undertakes surveys and installation: since 2012 we have carried out more than 5,000 installations. Heating film in Hungary means the same product as heating foil; we alone sell its 4th-generation, self-regulating version in Europe. You can read our company details on the contact page.
"If the type and quantity we propose are installed, and you are still not satisfied with the warmth and the comfort after a whole heating season, we will buy the system back, no questions asked."

The six questions asked at every survey
"Electric heating is expensive."
Electric heating could indeed be expensive in the past, but infrared heating works with a different technology: not by heat transfer through the air, but by radiation, like the radiation of the Sun. This technology provides the same pleasant warmth with significantly lower consumption. The calculator shows you in forints what it would be in your case: consumption calculator.
"What happens if it breaks under the floor?"
It has no moving part, pump, circulation or combustion chamber: nothing that could wear out. We alone give a 15.5-year warranty on 4th-generation heating film, when we do the installation.
"Is electrosmog harmful, especially in a child's room?"
This is the most common question, and we answer it not with opinion but with measurement. According to our own measurement the field strength on the surface of a 220 W/m² film is 345 V/m, about the same as at a switched-on kettle. Under the floor covering it is 273 V/m, at a height of 20 centimetres 0 V/m, and for those who want even more, we put EMF foil over the heating film: with that the instrument measures 0–1 V/m even on the film. The permitted value is 5,000 V/m. So it does no harm. More: electrosmog: measured values.
"Does the whole floor have to be broken up?"
Not necessarily. In a renovation, after the existing floor covering is removed, the film goes directly onto the substrate: no screed, no concreting, no weeks of drying. Where the floor cannot be broken up, the ceiling or the wall is the solution: ceiling heating.
"How much better is this than an infrared panel?"
An infrared panel radiates from a single point, and it is visible. Close up it is very warm, further away the sensation may be cooler. 4th-generation heating film makes the entire floor or ceiling surface the heating surface, so it gives even warmth at a lower surface temperature and takes up no space. We sell both: at the on-site survey we tell you which suits you.
"How do I know that what I get is really 4th generation?"
Because you can see the film before installation: the heating film carries the following markings and trademarks: 4th GENERATION PTC PREMIUM HEATING FILM, SwissWarm, Fűtőfólia. In our showrooms you can also handle it and try the self-regulating property switched on. Details: 4th-generation heating film.
Heating film and the other systems.
Heating film is not the right answer in every situation, which is why we set out the differences factually. At the on-site survey we design the heating system to suit your needs and the characteristics of the property.
| Heating film | Gas boiler + radiators | Heat pump + underfloor heating | Infrared panel | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Installation work | Under the floor covering, no screed | Pipework, boiler room, chimney | Screed, outdoor unit, buffer tank | Wall mounting |
| Space taken in the home | Zero: it is not visible | Radiators, boiler room | Plant room | A panel on the wall or ceiling |
| Warm-up time | 5–15 minutes (depending on the floor covering) | 20–40 minutes | Hours (high inertia) | 5–10 minutes |

Before you decide: data, not promises
Electrosmog: measurement data
The most common question concerns the child's room. With us it is not met with opinion, but with measurement.
How much does it really use?
Real consumption data, not catalogue promises. That is why every assumption is written out in the calculator.
