How do you choose the right heating system?
Whether it is a renovation or a new build, the question of heating cannot be avoided. Most people would like to cut heating costs, but it is also important to them not to burden the environment unnecessarily and to protect the family's health.
An owner facing a build or renovation, however, is usually not an energy specialist, and cannot be expected to decide confidently among the many heating systems available. It is also hard to decide whom to trust: contractors and tradespeople often recommend whatever is more practical for them.
The on-site survey removes exactly this uncertainty: we look at the building and tell you, based on its actual characteristics, what would work well for you. Online (phone) survey: you get a clear picture within half an hour
At a pre-arranged time we call you and go step by step through the same questions we would ask at a personal survey: how large the area to be heated is, what the building's insulation and windows and doors are like, what floor covering will go on the floor, what the current heating is, and when you plan the work. With a smartphone you can also show us around the rooms as we talk.
What can it give? It clarifies whether infrared heating can be considered for your building, which version (floor, ceiling or wall heating) suits it, what to expect in the preparations, and it gives an order-of-magnitude picture of the investment and the running cost. If heating film is not right for the building, we tell you that too.
What can it not give? A precise technical proposal and an itemised, binding quote. Judging the layer build, the existing electrical supply (main fuse, phases), the condition of the surfaces and the heat loss accurately requires an on-site survey. The online conversation is therefore a first step, not a substitute for the on-site survey.

How to prepare before the survey
The more data you have at hand, the more accurate the quote will be. It is worth thinking through in advance:
- whether it will be a full renovation or a modernisation;
- how large the floor area of the flat or house is, and which rooms need heating;
- whether the building is insulated, and what condition the windows and doors are in;
- what floor coverings there will be: tiles, laminate, parquet;
- what amount you would set aside for heating.
If you have a floor plan or design drawing, have it ready.
