Container House

The owner built his low-energy house from containers, largely with his own hands, and its living area is 130 m². The heating is provided by heating film: our installers did the fitting in 2 days, and control works through a smart home system.

Self-built, professionally installed heating
The house was built in 2020. The owner did most of the construction himself, but entrusted the heating installation to our team. The installed films give adequate comfort throughout the house, and the warmth is pleasant in every room.
The heating is controlled and regulated by the house's smart home system. We also write about heating lightweight-frame and modular houses in our article on heating wooden and modular houses.
Technical data
- Living area: 130 m²
- Total output of the films: 9.9 kW
- Specific heat loss: 55 W/m²
- Calculated annual electricity demand: 7,057 kWh
- Control: smart home
- Heating installation time: 2 days
What can you learn from this if you are planning now?
In a low-energy house, the sizing of the heating starts from the heat loss: this gives the output to be installed and the expected consumption. For this we offer an on-site survey and consultation; see the on-site survey page.
At the time of the project, intelligent heating film went into the house. Today we install 4th-generation heating film, which automatically reduces its output under furniture or a rug. Request a quote (installation is available in Hungary).
