New Apartment Building

Reference: a new 385 m² apartment building where, after the floor slabs were modified, low-build-height heating film was needed instead of the planned water-based underfloor heating. 32 kW, smart home and Wi-Fi thermostat.
In a 385 m² apartment building, after the floor slabs were altered, the build-up of the planned hot-water underfloor heating would no longer have fitted within the height of the rooms. Underfloor heating with a lower build height was needed, and heating film met this requirement exactly.

A finished design, modified floor slabs
The client had bought an already designed project. The original plans included hot-water underfloor heating and a gas boiler. Along the way, however, the floor slabs changed, and had the water-based system stayed, ceiling height would have had to be given up.
The solution was electric underfloor heating with a thin build-up: under the floor covering the film takes up hardly any space, so the rooms kept their planned height. Intelligent heating film went in at the time of the project; today we install 4th-generation heating film.
Control
The heating is run by a smart-home system and a Wi-Fi thermostat, so it can be followed and adjusted remotely. You can read more about the control options on our thermostat page.
Parameters
The building's living area is 385 m², and the installed heating power is 32 kW. The design worked with a heat loss of 50 W/m², and the expected annual electricity consumption is 18,018 kWh.
