Intelligent Heating Film Installation in Báta

In Báta we built underfloor heating with heating film under concrete in a property. The build-up from the bottom: polystyrene thermal insulation prepared by the customer, 5 mm thick reflective foil, the heating film, two layers of vapour barrier film, and finally at least 5 cm of concrete. The heating is controlled by a smart-home system. We show the steps of the installation in a video.

The customer's requirement

The customer wanted modern, economical and comfortable underfloor heating in the property. We built the underfloor heating with Intelligent Heating Film – at the time of the article (2020) this was 3rd-generation film; today we install 4th-generation heating film. The customer had prepared the site: the polystyrene thermal insulation was already in place, and the heating was built on it.

4. Vapour barrier film in two layers
5. At least 5 cm of concrete after the heating system is finished

Control was implemented with the IQotthon smart-home system.
